Room 1 has been watching the monarch butterfly life cycle. We have fed the tiny caterpillars and watched them grow and shed their skin. It was amazing to see the transformation from caterpillar to chrysalis. Today we had the first butterfly emerge from the chrysalis. It was very exciting. We let the butterfly go out on the roses after it had dried and plumped up its wings. The butterflies have been the topic of some great stories in room 1.
